Profile Summary 

Dr. Tuhina Ganguly is Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR. Her earlier research was an ethnographic study among long-term Western spiritual practitioners based in India. The study explored intersections of spatial imaginaries, and contemporary religio-spiritual practices and beliefs.

Her current work, focusing on yogic bodily practices, continues to be informed by her larger research interests in spirituality and contemporary religiosities. The project is also informed by anthropological approaches to the body, and medical anthropology. 

Parallely, she is interested in the areas of cosmopolitanisms and cosmopolitics, and travel and tourism.
